Sunday 8:00 am [Emmanuel]Traditional 1662 Book of Common Prayer communion service.
This is a ‘said’ service with no hymns which lasts about 30 minutes. Not an ideal service for regular attendance as it misses out on so much of the fellowship and richer diversity of congregational worship but it is handy if you have a lot to do that Sunday!
Sunday 10:00 am [St Pauls]
Our main Church family meeting of the week as we sing, reflect on God’s word to us in the Bible and pray together. Services normally last approx. 1 hour.
1st Sunday of month – Holy Communion
2nd Sunday of month – All age Worship
3rd Sunday of month – Holy Communion
4th Sunday of month – Morning Praise
5th Sunday of Month – Morning Praise
During term time there is the opportunity for children and young people to be part of a group so that they can explore and learn about God in a relevant way for their age (except All Age Worship where we all worship and learn together).
Outside term time all services aim to be suitable and welcoming of all ages (current age of congregation 1- 90s!)
Sunday 10:30 am [Emmanuel]Our main service
Our services aim to be lively and relevant to life, based upon teaching from the Bible. There is something for all the family with classes and activities appropriate to the age and stage of those aged 14 and younger. There is also a Creche in a room leading off the church entrance which has a live feed of video and sound for parent! If you’re a new family to the idea of church this is an excellent service to make a start with.
Note: Every 1st Sunday of the month this is the “All Age Communion” service. The whole church remain together for this service lasting just under an hour.
Sunday 6:30 pm [Emmanuel](worship service)
Preaching, Praise, Prayer & Adoration. A less formal service with more time to reflect on God’s Word in the sermon, and through contemporary music, prayer, praise and other activity.
Note: The evening service includes communion on the 1st Sunday of the month when it is not celebrated at the 10:30am family service.
Sunday 6:30 pm [St Pauls]
Prayer and Praise Service – last Sunday of the month. A chance for the church family to gather together to pray for each other, the life of the church and our local area.
Other Sundays we join with our sister church at Emmanuel for evening worship.
