Emmanuel Church Plymouth

Emmanuel is a student friendly church, half way between the University of Plymouth and the College of St Mark and St John, and is therefore a natural place for students to gather for worship

If you are a student and new to Plymouth or have just discovered us, a friendly welcome awaits you at Emmanuel. Most students prefer our 6.30 Evening Service of preaching, praise, prayer & adoration.   

The service is preceded with refreshments and followed by hot chocolate. Many of the students then gather in the Rectory for a chat.

The 6.30 service is less formal with more time to reflect on God's Word in the sermon, and through contemporary music, prayer, praise and other activity. Services include communion on the first Sunday of the month when it is not celebrated at the 10.30 family service. Opportunities to pray for healing and other personal needs are also available at these services.

A service with no hymn books!! Everything is projected onto a large screen at the front of the church.

The music is lead by a band. If you would like to join the group, you would be more than welcome
